Welcome to the official party honoring P-22, the world’s most famous mountain lion. He has lived in Los Angeles since 2012, and made a dangerous journey crossing two of the busiest freeways in America to find a new home.
Last year over 8,000 people attended P-22’s party at his home in Griffith Park. This year, his Wildlife Wonderland party is coming to you virtually ~ it’s such a great way to explore the wild world and learn about how to coexist with mountain lions and other wildlife.
Governor Gavin Newsom ~ who just last month signed AB 1788 into law, making California the first state in the country to effectively ban rodenticides ~ will be making an appearance virtually at the Festival, joining the Grammy nominated band the Black Pumas, Congressman Adam Schiff, actress Julia Butters (Once Upon a Time In Hollywood) and so many others.
This event is also a chance for you to make a difference. The festival is from the National Wildlife Federation, and their #SaveLACougars campaign works to make sure mountain lions like P-22 don’t go extinct in the Los Angeles area by, among other efforts, working with partners to build the world’s largest wildlife crossing to help save these beautiful cats.
Learn more about the cougar cause at www.savelacougars.org. If you shop or donate at the festival, it all goes to help cougars like P-22.
We hope you can join us at this fabulous event!
