Wisconsin & Minnesota Wildlife Photography Contest

Call for Entries – no Entry Fee

All Wisconsin & Minnesota Residents are invited to submit images celebrating the beauty & promoting coexistence of wild carnivores: Coyote, Gray Wolf, Bobcat, Red Fox, Gray Fox. Images of wild & free native carnivores will be accepted.

2 Contest Categories: Amateur & Professional

All digital documenting devices can be used: digital camera, smartphone & game camera.

Entries can be submitted starting on March 1st, 2019. Contest deadline is June 1st, 2019.

Submit your best image to wolvesdouglasco@gmail.com include your full name, a title of the image, professional or amateur, city and state, and images will be displayed publicly on Wisconsin & Minnesota Wildlife Photography Contest Facebook Page, and size should be no larger than 5MB.

Submissions will be reviewed by Project Coyote and Wolves of Douglas County Wisconsin’s panel of selected advisers, Wildlife photographers, and fine arts professionals. We will select the best 15 images to send to renowned National Geographic Photographer Jim Brandenburg (above) for final judging. Each category, professional & amateur, will receive awards for First, Second, and Third place.

The top 15 winners will receive Project Coyote ball caps autographed by celebrated singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Dewey Bunnell band member from the folk-rock group America.

Prize awards:

First place will receive a print from renowned National Geographic Photographer Jim Brandenburg.

Second place will receive an autographed DVD of the award-winning documentary film Medicine of the Wolf from the producer and director Julia Huffman.

Third place will receive autographed copies of Project Coyote books from well-known authors. Additional prizes may be available.

Winners will be announced on July 24, 2019, at The Wild & Scenic Film Festival Being hosted by Wolves of Douglas County Wisconsin and featuring Project Coyote’s documentary film Killing Games: Wildlife In The Crosshairs produced & directed by Camilla Fox, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The contest organizers-Project Coyote & Wolves of Douglas County Wisconsin (WODCW) – at their discretion may modify the distribution of awards if any category is not adequately presented.
