Pennsylvania has more Wildlife Killing Contests than any other state in the country. As advocates for wildlife, Animal Wellness Action and Humane Action Pittsburgh are inviting you to a free screening of Project Coyote’s award-winning documentary KILLING GAMES: Wildlife In The Crosshairs, a groundbreaking exposé of these shadowy contests. Targeted species are most commonly coyotes, but also include bobcats, raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, crows, and of course, pigeons in Pennsylvania. Fueled by anti-predator bias, these legally sanctioned but relatively unknown contests are cruel and foster ignorance about the critical role apex predators play in maintaining healthy ecosystems.

Directed and produced by Project Coyote Founder and Executive Director Camilla H. Fox, KILLING GAMES will both educate and inspire you to join in the fight to save Pennsylvania’s wild neighbors. The screening will be followed by a 30-minute panel discussion with Camilla, Project Coyote Science Advisory Board member Dave Parsons, and Pennsylvania Director of Animal Wellness Action Natalie Ahwesh, who will share information about wildlife killing contests generally, as well as what specific steps you can take to get involved in the campaign to end them.

This event is free and open to the public. More information here, and to join (on May 13 @ 7pm ET/4pm PT), click here.
