Every year, Virginia’s bobcats, coyotes, and foxes are targeted in cruel and senseless wildlife killing contests, in which participants compete to kill the most, the largest, or even the smallest animals solely for cash and prizes. Hundreds of animals may fall victim over one or two days and are typically discarded like trash after the prizes are awarded.

This year we have an opportunity to ban killing contests in your state ~ but we need your help!

Please join Project Coyote and our partner organizations for a free webinar on Thursday, May 20, at 6:00 pm PT to learn more about wildlife killing contests in Virginia and what you can do to help stop them. We’ll be joined by our friends at the Animal Welfare Institute, The Humane Society of the United States, and the Wildlife Center of Virginia.

Register here and share this Facebook post with your friends and family in Virginia. We’re especially looking to amplify the voices of veterinarians, scientists, wildlife rehabilitators, and responsible hunters, so if you know Virginians in those fields who might get involved, please invite them to join as well.
