Project Coyote’s Executive Director Camilla Fox and Advisory Board member Dr. Paul Paquet are co-organizers of the session “Linking Animal and Conservation Ethics: A Challenge in Conservation” at The Wildlife Society Conference in Portland, OR (Oct. 13-18th). In this session, presenters will: “confront the occasional reticence to making ethics in general a primary concern in wildlife conservation and management” and “generate discussion about how ethics and consideration of shifting public values around animal welfare can strengthen wildlife conservation and management and encourage broader agreement among divergent groups.” In addition, Camilla will present the following talk at the conference: Predator “management” in the United States: Values, ethics & alternatives.
