Join us to learn about the latest research and effective non-lethal techniques for protecting livestock while conserving habitat, wildlife, and natural resources.

John Bailey, Director,
UC Hopland Research and Extension Center (HREC):
John directs HREC, a multi-disciplinary agricultural research and education facility in Mendocino County, and was recently appointed to the USDA’s Advisory Committee on Beginning Farmers and Ranchers to advise the USDA on ways to enhance opportunities for new farmers and ranchers.
Stacy Carlsen, Marin County Agricultural Commissioner:
Stacy Carlsen has been the Marin County Agricultural Commissioner and Director of Weights and Measures for the past 20 years. During that time he established the Marin County Organic Certified Agriculture Program in 2001, the Model IPM in Schools Program, and the Marin County Livestock and Wildlife Protection Program.
Keli Hendricks, Project Coyote Ranching with Wildlife Coordinator:
Keli Hendricks and her husband Dean have managed a cow/calf operation in Sonoma County for over 25 years. They have raised thousands of calves alongside coyotes, bobcats and other predators without the use of lethal control. A former professional horse trainer, Keli now serves as the Ranching with Wildlife Coordinator for Project Coyote and is a longtime volunteer with Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue.
This event is free and open to the public.
