Join us in Celebrating Wolf Awareness Week!
Each day from October 19 – 25 we’re hosting events and sharing engaging social media posts all week to honor wolves and highlight the intense threats and misunderstandings that this exceptional keystone species faces.
This opportunity to celebrate wolves is more important than ever. With your support, we will continue to monitor Colorado’s groundbreaking wolf reintroduction program and fight attempts to end it. With partners nationwide, we will stand firm against egregious wolf-killing policies and perpetual efforts to remove wolves from the U.S. Endangered Species Act list. And we will press wildlife agencies across the Northeast to ramp up work to identify and protect wolves returning to the region.
Here’s how to make a difference during Wolf Awareness Week:
1. Join our webinar, “Wolf Recovery: What’s Changed, What Hasn’t”
Hear from three of our wolf expert team members on Tuesday, October 21 at 12:00pm PT / 3:00pm ET. You’ll learn about how even in the face of ongoing persecution and egregious hunting and trapping in some states, wolves persevere in others. Colorado is welcoming them home, and they are finding their way back to the Northeast alongside remarkable look-alike eastern coyotes. Click here to register.
2. Support wolves with our exclusive wolf-themed apparel!
For one week only, you can order limited edition wolf-themed apparel through our For the Love of All Things FLOAT campaign, which goes live on Monday October 20 at 8:00am PT / 11:00am ET. Each shirt purchased generates $8 to support Project Coyotes’ mission, including protecting America’s wolves.
3. Spread awareness about wolves
We will be sharing social media posts all week long that highlight the valuable ecological role of wolves, share interesting facts about wolf biology and behavior, highlight the many threats they face, and outline how we can protect and coexist with these amazing animals. We encourage you to share our social posts on your own feed to help us educate and inspire. You can find links to all of Project Coyote’s social media pages in the menu at the top of this webpage.
Thank you for being a partner for wolves during Wolf Awareness Week!
