In a major victory for wildlife, the California Fish and Game Commission votes to end the trapping of bobcats, becoming the first state in the nation to do so. Prior to the commission’s vote, Project Coyote hand-delivered a petition with nearly 30,000 signatures supporting the ban and helped lead and galvanize a statewide grassroots campaign for the ban. Camilla Fox leads a panel discussion about wildlife killing contests at the Speak for Wolves Conference, a gathering of concerned citizens, scientists, activists, and policy makers, in West Yellowstone, Montana.
