JENNY GRANT
COYOTE FRIENDLY COMMUNITIES™ PROGRAM ASSOCIATE
Jenny graduated with a degree in Environmental Studies from Portland State University. As a student, she first got involved in wildlife research in 2008, when she spent a summer interning on a gray wolf research project. Since then, she has been involved with biology projects ranging from freshwater mussels to invasive coastal grass.
As a graduate student she became interested in coyotes when there was an increase in sightings in a neighborhood nearby. She conducted a citizen science research project on urban coyotes in Portland, Oregon and as part of her work she co-founded the Portland Urban Coyote Project. Her continued research interest is on urban coyote management and coexistence strategies across North America.
