KIM BOESTER

PROGRAM ASSOCIATE

Kim was born in California and grew up in a very outdoors-oriented family who advocated for animal welfare for as long as she can remember. Kim herself has backpacked extensively throughout the Northwest, and has raced her bike for over 20 years. Kim lived in Idaho for a number of years, and has closely followed the release of wolves in that state since 1995. She worked for Idaho PBS while attending Boise State University for her second degree in Broadcast Engineering. Kim moved back to California in 2000, and worked in the high-tech industry there for nearly 20 years. She met members of the Project Coyote team in 2012 during her travels to Idaho and California to speak up for wolves, coyotes and other carnivores. She started volunteering with Project Coyote soon thereafter, and has been assisting the team in many critical areas regarding legislation, raising funds and awareness, and special projects. Currently Kim is taking a sabbatical from high-tech and is traveling and enjoying the ‘reinvention’ stage in her life. Keeping it wild!
