Perhaps no other wild animal has endured the wrath of humans while evoking such genuine heartfelt admiration than the coyote. Some livestock owners curse her existence, many Native Americans consider her the smartest animal on Earth, and others experience joy in seeing or hearing this vocal Song Dog.
The end is near for coyote hunting contests
Don Martin’s choice of words “creeping incrementalism” by the anti-hunting community is just a bit cynical. What Arizona Game and Fish Department is being asked to consider is a ban on wildlife killing contests throughout our state.
Coexisting with coyotes
Coyotes are clever, communicative and highly adaptable. Since the 1850s, they’ve expanded their range threefold, and have grown quite comfortable living in close proximity with humans. They’re now common in every county in New Hampshire, including urban and suburban areas.
