FREE WEBINAR! October 7 @ 12:00 pm PT ~
Fear, Wild Things, and Coexisting with Predators

Project Coyote Science Advisory Board Member Joanna Lambert has traveled to some of the remotest regions of the planet in order to study wild animals in wild places. For almost 30 years she has studied rainforest ecology in equatorial Africa, where the extraordinary challenges to biodiversity and human quality of life she witnessed fundamentally impacted her approach to science and shifted her work towards solutions and human-wildlife coexistence. Joanna also investigates carnivore nutrition and resilience at sites throughout the Rocky Mountain West, including Yellowstone National Park and the greater Denver area. Her most recent research addresses the rapid evolution of coyotes to urbanized landscapes.

Joanna is currently a Professor at the University of Colorado – Boulder in the Program in Environmental Studies, as well as faculty in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and the Center for Microbial Exploration. She spends as much time as she can in wild places, studying wild animals, and striving for optimism and solutions in a challenging world. For more about her work please see: www.joannalambert.com.

Read more about Joanna’s thoughts on carnivore conservation and coexistence in her Notes from the Field interview here.

Following her talk, Joanna will take questions (via Chat) from attendees. The webinar is expected to last approximately one hour.
