New Hampshire: Take Action NOW to Ban Wildlife Killing Contests!

Your voice is needed to help end cruel wildlife killing contests in New Hampshire! HB589, a bill to ban wildlife killing contests and prohibit wanton waste, will be heard by the House Fish and Game Committee on February 12th.

These ethically indefensible contests, which reward participants for killing the most coyotes and other wildlife species, have no scientific basis in wildlife conservation. They promote senseless violence against animals and undermine responsible stewardship of wildlife. In addition, this bill would also prohibit wanton waste—the practice of wastefully killing a wild animal without the intention to use or consume them.

This legislative session, New Hampshire lawmakers can prohibit wildlife killing contests and wanton waste of wildlife by passing HB589. Help us urge members of the House Fish and Game and Marine Resources Committee to vote yes on HB589 on February 12th!
