Join Project Coyote Ranching With Wildlife Coordinator Keli Hendricks at 6 p.m. PT Thursday, Feb. 17 for a presentation about coyotes in our midst.

We’ll explore common coyote myths, ways to keep you and your companion animals safe, what to do if you see a coyote, laws that relate to coyotes and their treatment, and so much more. Whether you love coyotes or just want to learn more about these wild canids in your neighborhood, this entertaining and informative talk will shed light on the science as well as the mysteries surrounding America’s native Song Dog, including common questions like:

  • Are coyotes dangerous?
  • Are my outdoor cats safe?
  • What do I do if I see coyotes while walking my dog?
  • Are coyotes becoming overpopulated?
  • I saw a coyote in the middle of the day. Is it sick?
  • Why can’t we relocate urban coyotes to the “wild?”
  • Coyotes are so loud! What’s all the yapping about?

While this event is in partnership with San Francisco Animal Care & Control and the SF Recreation & Parks Department, anyone from anywhere can listen in.
