Maggie Dean

PROJECT COYOTE SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN 

Maggie Dean is a rising third-year student at Michigan State University and a social media intern at Project Coyote. Her studies in both Fisheries and Wildlife and English led her to this role, which allows her to marry her two passions of communications and conservation. Her previous experience volunteering with the Sunrise Movement ignited her passion for engaging with community members in an effort to make positive change in the world. In her position as a social media summer intern, Maggie hopes to expand the reach and spread the values of PC to a broader audience.

Originally from Appalachia, she grew up with a great appreciation for the natural world and still cherishes the time she can travel back to Virginia to see her family and the mountains. When she’s not in school or volunteering, Maggie likes to spend time outdoors, enjoy live music, or play one of her six instruments.
