Action Alert: Only Days Left to Stop Wildlife Killing Contests in Illinois

We’re closer than ever to ending cruel wildlife killing contests in Illinois, but we need your help to move this critical bill forward.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to contact your Illinois State Senators about SB3063, the bill to prohibit wildlife killing contests. They heard how much you want Illinois to become the 11th state to ban this terrible practice.

But the bill won’t move forward unless it is assigned to a Senate Committee for a hearing and vote. There are only days left in the legislative process to make that happen. Your action is vital.

Killing contests promote the indiscriminate slaughter of coyotes, foxes, raccoons, and other wildlife, with participants competing for cash and prizes by killing the most, the largest, or even the smallest animals in a matter of hours or days. Scientists, wildlife professionals, and a growing majority of the public condemn these events as inhumane and ecologically harmful.

TAKE ACTION TODAY!

Please contact the Senate President and key members of the Senate Assignments Committee, urging them to assign and move forward with SB3063, the bill to prohibit wildlife killing contests.
