Demand a Scientific and Ethical Wisconsin Wolf Plan

Sign up before October 19th to advocate for Wisconsin’s Wolves

On October 25th, the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board (WNRB) will be voting to approve the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources revised Wolf Management Plan. This will be the first update to the state’s management plan for our wolves since 2007, and it is crucial that all advocates for wolves voice their opinion and concerns about what advocacy organizations have condemned as an unscientific and unethical plan and process.

To inform and prepare advocates to provide oral testimony and written comments to the WNRB, we are presenting a webinar alongside Animal Wellness Action (AWA) and Great Lakes Wildlife Alliance (GLWA) tonight, Tuesday, October 17th @ 7:00 PM (CT). You can register for that webinar here.

The deadline to register to testify and submit written comments for the upcoming WNRB meeting is Thursday, October 19, 2023 by 11:00 AM (CT).

Your voice is urgently needed to oppose the wolf plan’s dismissal of wolves, Tribes and wildlife advocates!

Here’s how you can help:

  1. Register for and attend tonight’s webinar hosted by wolf advocacy organizations to get informed about the revised wolf plan and prepare your testimony/comments.
  2. Provide your testimony and comments for the WDNR’s revised wolf plan by registering for the October 25th meeting (even if you’re just submitting written comments). Remote testimony as well as in-person will be allowed.
    • The easiest way to register is to use this form from our partners at GLWA. Alternatively, you can send an email to the NRB Liaison or call 608-267-7420.  Confirm you wish to speak at the meeting and provide the required personal information (included in the GLWA form).
    • You should register and submit any written comments before October 19th, by 11:00 AM (CT).
    • Prepare your testimony in advance (consider a 2-minute time-limit for drafting your oral comments).

Thank you for standing up for wolves in Wisconsin!
